### Operating Procedures for Reactor Maintenance and Cleaning
#### General Guidelines:
1. **Follow Instructions:** Operators must carefully read and adhere to design drawings, process documents, and technical requirements. Avoid arbitrary changes.
2. **Inspect Tools:** Ensure borrowed tools meet process requirements. Contact the team leader if there are doubts.
3. **Inspect Blanks:** Before processing, verify that reactor blanks meet the allowances specified in the previous process.
4. **First-Piece Inspection:** Conduct free-standing inspections for the first workpiece and after tool changes.
5. **Process Segmentation:** Break continuous processes into steps to prevent batch scrapping. Perform self-inspections and involve quality inspectors as needed.
6. **Chamfers and Undercuts:** Deepen or enlarge chamfers and undercuts to meet drawing requirements. Remove unspecified features and blunt edges unless otherwise specified.
7. **Workpiece Care:** Keep workpieces clean and rust-free. Store them neatly and apply rust prevention measures if not processed immediately.
8. **Magnetic Table Use:** Hold workpieces on a magnetic table during processing and demagnetize them afterward.
9. **Tolerance Compliance:** Ensure all processed surfaces meet dimensional and form tolerances specified in Q/WTD194-1999.
10. **Workplace Organization:** Keep workpieces clean and arranged neatly. Workers are responsible for verifying the quantity of delivered workpieces and avoiding unauthorized substitutions.
#### Cleaning Sticky or Scaled Reactors:
1. **Technical Requirements for Scale Removal:**
- **Pickling Temperature:** Optimal at 60°C to balance effectiveness and prevent excessive corrosion.
- **Pickling Solution:** Use a solution with 81.0% formic acid, 17.0% water, 1.2% buffer, and 0.8% surfactant.
- **Pickling Duration:** Perform 2 hours of static immersion followed by 3-4 hours of dynamic circulation. Test concentration regularly until differences are less than 0.2%.
- **Passivation Treatment:** Passivate the equipment after pickling to protect exposed metal surfaces.
2. **Step-by-Step Cleaning Process:**
- **Flushing:** Remove impurities like mud and scale from the jacket before pickling.
- **Prepare Cleaning Solution:** Inject the prepared acid solution into the jacket.
- **Acid Cleaning:** Soak statically for 2 hours, then circulate the solution for 3-4 hours, alternating forward and reverse flow every 30 minutes. Reuse the acid solution if its pH is greater than 2; otherwise, neutralize and discard it.
- **Alkaline Cleaning:** After acid washing, use a NaOH and NaHPO4 solution for neutralization and corrosion prevention.
- **Water Cleaning:** Rinse thoroughly with clean, softened water for 30 minutes to remove residue.
- **Record Timing:** Document each step to verify cleaning effectiveness.
By following these procedures, reactors can be efficiently maintained and cleaned, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
