Colloid mills use different lubrication methods depending on their structure and capacity. Here are the five main lubrication methods:
1. **Drip Lubrication**:
- Oil is delivered to the required components through an oil cup and pipeline or manually added using an oiler.
2. **Oil Ring Lubrication**:
- A rotating shaft drives an oil ring that draws oil from a reservoir and circulates it to the bearings.
3. **Pressure Lubrication**:
- A mechanical device, like an oil pump, applies pressure to lubricate components. This method is common in large and medium-sized cross-shaped mills.
4. **Splash Lubrication**:
- A pumping rod on the connecting rod splashes oil onto lubrication points. Used in small, non-cross-shaped mills, it requires strict control of oil levels and lacks effective filtering.
5. **Spray Lubrication**:
- Oil mist is injected into the lubrication area along with gas. This method is used in ultra-high-pressure mills, sliding mills, and screw mills.
