Maintenance of a split-body mill is essential to ensure its efficient and safe operation. Follow these steps:
1. **Inspection**: Check mill pipes and joints for looseness. Rotate the mill manually to ensure smooth operation.
2. **Lubrication**: Add bearing lubricating oil to the bearing body, ensuring the oil level aligns with the center of the oil mark. Replace or replenish oil as needed.
3. **Water Injection**: Unscrew the water inlet plug and fill the pump body with water or slurry.
4. **Valve and Gauge Setup**: Close the water outlet pipe gate valve and pressure/vacuum gauges before starting.
5. **Motor Operation**: Start the motor and verify its rotation direction. Once the mill operates normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and inlet vacuum pump. Gradually open the gate valve while monitoring the motor load.
6. **Efficiency Control**: Operate the mill within the flow rate and head range specified on the nameplate for optimal efficiency and energy savings.
7. **Temperature Monitoring**: Ensure the bearing temperature does not exceed 35°C above ambient temperature, with a maximum limit of 80°C.
8. **Abnormal Sounds**: Stop the mill immediately if unusual sounds occur and investigate the cause.
9. **Shutdown Procedure**: Before stopping the mill, close the gate valve and pressure gauge, then turn off the motor.
Adhering to these guidelines ensures the mill's longevity and reliable performance.
