**Use and Maintenance of Hot and Cold Cylinders**
Proper use and maintenance of hot and cold cylinders ensure efficient operation and long-term durability. Follow these steps for optimal performance:
### **1. Instructions for Use:**
- **Cleaning:** Before use, clean the reservoir with fresh hot water and sterilize it with steam.
- **Filling:** Introduce material slurry through the cylinder head pipe or by opening the cylinder head. Avoid overfilling to prevent splashing during agitation.
### **2. Heating Method:**
- Close the refrigerant inlet valve and drain any remaining refrigerant from the jacket.
- Add the material, start the agitator, and open the steam valve.
- Once the desired temperature is reached, close the steam valve, wait 2–3 minutes, and then stop the agitator.
### **3. Cooling Method:**
- Close the steam valve and drain any steam condensate.
- Open the refrigerant valve at the bottom of the cylinder to circulate refrigerant, lowering the material's temperature.
### **4. Insulation:**
- Start the agitator and high-speed valve to maintain the desired temperature, monitoring with a thermometer.
### **5. Cleaning:**
- After use, drain condensate from the jacket and rinse with warm water to remove sticky residues.
- Clean the inner wall with 40°C–50°C alkaline water, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Disinfect with hot water or steam (90°C or above) for 2–3 minutes before the next use.
### **6. Maintenance:**
- Regularly check the equipment and reducer. Refill reducer lubricant as needed and change the oil (40# engine oil) every six months.
- Rinse the jacket with warm water when not in use to prevent saltwater corrosion.
- Keep the exterior clean and the interior shiny for long-term durability.
By following these steps, the hot and cold cylinders can maintain optimal functionality and cleanliness.
