### Breakthrough in Corn Straw Ethanol Production

Scientists from Jilin Province have achieved a significant milestone in ethanol production from corn straw. A collaborative project between the Jilin Light Industry Design Institute and Jilin Tuopai Agricultural Products Development Co., Ltd. recently passed evaluation by an expert panel.

Key highlights of the project include:

- **Innovative Pretreatment Technology**: Using wet oxidation pretreatment in a 10-liter fully automatic fermenter, the process achieved an alcohol content of 6.2% within 62 hours under laboratory conditions.
