### Vacuum Concentration Equipment Overview
Vacuum concentration equipment is widely used in the pharmaceutical, food, and chemical industries for liquid concentration, alcohol recovery, and simple reflux extraction. All parts in contact with materials are made of stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance and compliance with GMP standards.
### Pre-Operation Essentials:
1. **Equipment Check:**
- Inspect equipment, valves, and instruments for proper function and ensure piping is clear and leak-free.
- Verify the cleanliness of the spherical tank and confirm all valves are in the correct positions.
2. **Pre-Cleaning:**
- Clean the equipment thoroughly before operation.
### Operation Steps:
1. **Start-Up:**
- Open the vacuum valve and feed valve to introduce material until visible in the evaporator's lower sight glass, then close the feed valve.
- Start the condenser and stabilize cooling water pressure at 0.1–0.2 MPa.
- Gradually open the steam valve to raise the temperature to the required pressure, allowing thermal cycling in each evaporator effect.
2. **Normal Operation:**
- Adjust feed valves to maintain a consistent liquid level, balancing evaporation and replenishment.
- Every two hours, open the vent valve or bypass the steam trap to release non-condensable gases.
- Drain condensate every 1–2 hours by:
- Closing the water vent valve.
- Opening the drain valve to empty the water tank.
- Draining condensate, then closing the drain valve and reopening the vent valve.
### Shutdown Procedure:
1. Stop steam supply and close the steam valve.
2. Close the vacuum butterfly valve.
3. Open the evaporator exhaust valve to release the vacuum.
4. Drain condensate and clean the evaporators and heaters in each effect.
This process ensures efficient and safe operation while maintaining product quality.
